Dear valued Alumarine Boat customers,
In late November 2021, Carla Swaby lost her husband Matt Swaby in a tragic farm accident. To help her honor his memory, 100 of our boats will have the #4 heart decal on them. All donations from the sale of these decals will be donated to the East Central Rink Project.
Matt was very excited to be a part of these fundraising efforts. He grew up at East Central Rink and had so many fond memories of playing hockey there.
The rink is the main hub in the community of East Central (located 10 min east of Prince Albert, SK) and has vastly deteriorated during the years and was completely destroyed by a severe flood a few years ago.
Matt was very active in the local hockey community, not only as a player, but he coached his son Thomas’s hockey team.
The number 4 signifies Matt’s hockey number. He played hockey for many years with teams such as the Prince Albert Mintos, Tri City Americans, Edmonton Oil Kings, & the U of S Huskies.
The heart signifies all the love that Carla & her son’s have received since his passing. His sons, Thomas (7), Blake (5) and Kody (3) see the number 4 and automatically think of their dad. Carla fondly tells them that their dad put so much love into the world, they are getting it all back now.
Here at Alumarine Boats, we want to do our part to help the surrounding area and to help share Matts’ love and passion for his community.
Decals can be purchased at Salon Mint (406 S Industrial Dr, Prince Albert SK), Bolt Supply House Ltd (25A 17 St E, Prince Albert SK), and East Hill Esso (2799 15th Ave E, Prince Albert SK)
